Humans are harmful creatures. We damage everything around us. We do everything out of self-benefit; or at the very least, to convince ourselves that we are good and righteous people. Some people don't even bother. We discovered paper, and we cut down all the trees. The ozone layer kept us safe from harmful rays, and we burned a hole into it. The animals gave us sustenance and we hunted them to extinction. Life gave us human companions and we fought to kill them, torture them, enslave them. We harm our own bodies, beat ourselves up emotionally. We are damaged. We damage others. Well yeah.... that whole global warming and war is bad thing has been done countless times. But well, 'Damaged'. What else can I do, a broken plastic fork angsting about its fate? -.- Maybe I shouldn't be doing illustration. All the parents will come and kill me for traumatizing their children lol. |
