Exams are over. And I already have so many plans that my holiday is pretty much over too?Who cares. I'm just gonna enjoy it for now. Tomorrow, is the Quest for the Frozen Yogurt. Let's hope we find it and manage to get home alive (if we get home at all). Power of missing*. *I still think that's the coolest power ever. I miss Andura. Whatever he aims for, he misses, so the thing is to aim for what he doesn't want to aim for, and he gets deadly accuracy. His specialty is curry fish head butt. I just remembered this book called Hybrid! I read it in my primary school library when I was P6 and it was damn nice. It was about in the future when people who stick too much to electronics get merged with them. The main character is this guy with a computer screen for a head. He can talk through a computerized voice and show emotions only by emoticons on the screen. It's freaking kewl. Those normal people are prejudiced against the hybrid ones and want to lock them all up. Then there are these rebellions, where I remember this scene of a guy with a rifle for a hand going out and shooting at everyone. It's a really really nice book, but I can't remember what the author's name is, and I can't find it on wikipedia either. I still remember some scenes really clearly, like this guy who merged with an electric guitar and the strings kept cutting into him painfully, and how the ended up at a squatter's camp where the main character got into a fight and his computer screen broke... I forgot the ending though. I also remember that they had to put some kind of ointment where the skin and machine joined because it was so painful.. And the computer guy was really smart. I think he had to drink liquid food through a tube in his side. I also remember the cover there's a chain-link fence with a guy in the hoodie standing there and under his hood you can see a smiley-face glowing from the screen. I was obsessed with that book, I borrowed it countless times. But I never remembered the name of the author. Damn. ... Please tell me if you see it. I somehow miss the book now DDD: |
