Okay I just got home from KL and cameron highlands because I was dragged there and it was freaking cold and I had to wear a mask the whole freaking time but it was kewl when we played cards because that's what we call a poker face and my standard at cards has dropped so much I used to be second but now I'm LAST WTH I'm so disappointed in myself and I don't wanna go there again.

I just needed to get that out of my system. Oh but I liked the butterfly farm at cameron highlands.Though I only liked the snakes and lizards in the butterfly farm. The green eyed gecko's eyes is so damn pretty. Like really really emerald color. I like the blood python and the temple pit viper. Butterflies are creepy though. And there are alot there lying dead on the floor with broken wings. *shudder* Butterflies are gonna haunt my dreams, like a certain someone else I'm gonna mention later.

I LOVE. THE KNIFE OF NOT LETTING GO.
That book is freaking awesome alright. I spent all the time in cameron mooning over it.
First things first. The cover is already nice. I like that knife and it's freaking cool serrated edge. I realize that there's a black and white and red trend in the books I've been buying recently... Blaedite? Nice word. Don't steal it.
I love that author Patrick Ness' s writing style. Since it's a world where all thoughts can be heard as Noise, the writing style really conveys the thought process of the person with the long sentences and repeated words and it really creates the tension during those action scenes it's just too incredible and awesome to be put into words it's a completely different league from the book thief actually it's just different LY you have to have to read it I will make you.
I realize that I really want to use this style with long sentences because it's way too awesome but mrs mok prolly won't approve of it but who the heck cares anyways because IT'S AWESOME and me failing just proves that the limitations of essays suck because even people who write this way can write an awesome bestselling book and they should really think of expanding the criteria of essays beyond good english and good phrases and all that boring kaflooey and try letting us be more creative without being penalized for it.

I really love this part.
But a knife ain't just a thing, is it? It's a choice, it's something you do. A knife says yes or no, cut or not, die or don't. A knife takes a decision out of your hand and puts it in the world and it never goes back again.
- The Knife of Never Letting Go

I love Todd. Both Vladmir Tod and Todd Hewitt. But anyways, Todd Hewitt this time.
I think the first part where I thought 'THIS GUY'S BLOODY AWESOME' was when he was faced with the choice whether to put down the knife to look less threatening to Viola, but he says "I ain't putting it down, so just forget it."
I hate characters who would put down their weapons just in the hope of gaining the enemy's trust. People like that don't deserve to survive at all. (Well Zephyros would prolly say, 'Anyone who dies doesn't deserve to live.' I think it's true tho.)
I realized in the middle (when I was staring at the cover in awe) that 'the knife of never letting go' backwards is 'never letting go of the knife'. I wonder if this has some meaning, or it's like this poem:

I am the song that sings the bird.
I am the leaf that grows the land.
I am the tide that moves the moon.
I am the stream that halts the sand.
I am the cloud that drives the storm.
I am the earth that lights the sun.
I am the fire that strikes the stone.
I am the clay that shapes the hand.
I am the word that speaks the man.
- Charles Causley

I know that poem since it was at the start of Inkdeath, and I think it's definitely worthy to be there ;D
edit: Now I've finished the book, I know what it means. It's still more bloody awesome than ever.

I sometimes have to put down the book and keep saying wow like Todd when he sees the Here creachers.
The scene when Todd was suffering from injuries and not able to move, was the best one I've eve read. Most of these scenes in the book are boring, but this is GREAT ALRIGHT. Because his injuries are actually serious, not like some characters that start whining from a couple of bruises or worse, a hangover. And if a whole near week's worth of bruises and cuts and a knife in the back ain't serious enough then I'd like to know what is. And while he was lying there I didn't feel like telling him to get on with it already, but rather I was cringing and feeling very protective of my back. The injuries here are... painful, that's all I can say. And it's incredible because I very hardly if even sympathize with a weak character.
And the way it's obvious that he's angry without him even mentioning emotions is another reason why I love this book. And the book's written in such a way that you don't get a chance to feel that the character is stupid, because the character actually realizes things before you do and not the other way round. Which is freaking awesome if you ask me.

... That part where he betrayed Manchee...
It nearly made me cry, seriously. And these kinds of scenes are usually sappy and all that, but THIS IS FREAKING NOT.
AHHHH my cute Manchee nooooo D:D:D:D:D:D:
Agh I really want to cry.
Aaron.
Stupid, bloody, hypocritical Aaron.
Stop torturing my poor Todd can. Just go and die already.
I lost some respect for the crocs when they didn't kill him.
...
Now I'm gonna have nightmares of Aaron and his bloody noseless face screaming my name.
I think he's the best villian I encountered, one that actually seems scary and shows his madness with no cheesy lines involved. In fact, the lack of words makes him scarier (the fact that he only screams TODD HEWITT!!!. So creepy.)
Aaron is really the stuff of nightmares. And I've never seen such a painful fight before... Ow ow ow ow ow. Ughh. I don't even want to think about how beat up they are. And this is the first book I've read where the characters are fighting not to kill the villian. And it's not some stupid show of mercy at the end. The villian is truly insane and they're fighting for their lives throughout... Just... GAH Q___Q.
And this villian is freaking strong and crazy and as respectable as a zombie in terms of not-dying-ness. (wow what's wrong with me.)

I had a dream where I was fighting with LY over whether small milo packets or large milo packets were more nutritional. And it was fighting with super strength and speed too. I bet I pwned her in the end even though I woke up before the fight ended.
