I just finished Neverwhere. And it's freaking awesome ahaha. Richard was a pansy at first, but he got better especially after he killed the Beast, and I now deem him an acceptable and quite likable character. Especially when he chose London Below, played with his trolls and rejected Jessica (not in order). Good for you, Richard. You earned my respect. And the Marquis de Carabas. Need I say more? He's awesome. He sacrificed himself to be crucified just so he could get information for Door (apparently people talk more when they're about to kill you) and later Old Bailey (whom I like as well) resurrected him and he has a slit throat still. How cool is that. I liked him since he was a pile of rags (lol). He's officially my favourite character. Richard: Why didn't we see you at the Market? Marquis: I had to keep a low profile. Some people thought I was dead. Richard: Why? Marquis: Because they killed me. I love this part. MARQUIS FTW. Door, I only like her because of her hair and eyes. (red and opal). I mean, she doesn't have any fighting abilities at all. If she could 'open' an orange and turn it inside out, can't she do the same to a human's head? Wait, she did that to a man's chest before. but only once. At, like, the third page or so. Pathetic really. Hunter, I don't like her. She always seemed weird to me. And in the end she betrayed them and died so. Sucker. But she fights pretty well. I think she's the best character at fighting that I've come across without the involvement of magical powers. Who else? Islington, I kind of like him still. But he was a bit of a pain in the ass at the end. pshff. Please, Vandemar is just cute. I liked Mr Croup but later he just became annoying. And he keeps bullying Vandemar. But they both crucified Marquis, so I guess I should hate them. Still, Vandemar is cute. The Abbot is useless. MARQUIS FREAKING REVIVED! I was depressing over them describing his dead body floating down the sewers and what everyone did to it and hoping that he would come back to life especially since Old Bailey was acting strangely, and guess what, then it happened. I guess that was why the people in the mrt were staring at me weirdly. Or so I thought. I didn't dare look up. SEE NOW. Only the best characters die and revive okay. SO HE'S THE BEST. AHAHAHA. Poor Calcifer. |
