I went to borders today. Ahhh it's so nice to get new books. I saw this whole stack by Neil Gaiman, so I bought: Fragile Things (which got me hooked by the end of the summary), Neverwhere (which got me hooked by the name and the first paragraph I flipped to which depicted a body floating in the sewers) and Stardust, just for the sake of reading it. I also bought Airhead because Natasha said it was nice. The turn-off is that the book is hot-pink. Gag. But surprisingly up till this point I'm somewhat still okay with the main character. I have a feeling it's going to get alot worse, but this is a great achievement. Her persuasive essay sounds good too. I wish I could have stolen it for the oral test.. *coughcough* nevermind. I also bought this book called Two Kinds of Decay, this time because of the cover. There are dead trees silhouetted along the bottom and then a big white hand reaching up behind it. The tree in front of the hand is red, making it look like veins. Well I guess I like this sort of thing. |
