Even though it's pretty late, I just wanted to type out the prologue to Azrael's plot, if only to hope to irk LY a bit 8D Prologue In this land, there are the elementals (as always). And as always, they're pitted against each other. But there is one neutral country, and they specialize in things like healing, medical science and stuff. So in order not to get involved in the fighting, they become bodyguards-for-hire because they can do super kewl things like hit the pressure points on the body to immobilize people or something like that, and know exactly how to slice up a person. Apart from this world, there are the hosts of angels. There is no supreme ruler of the hosts, just two entities that govern the light and dark ones. At the beginning of the world, Azrael was brought into being. When the first kill was made, the soul had no way to leave the body it was connected to, and it suffered much because it had to feel the pain of the body being torn into pieces and eaten and yet was not able to leave it. So Azrael was some kind of antidote to pain. She severs the soul of dying things from their bodies. (I researched, Azrael is the angel of death who writes in a book the souls of things being born and erases the names of things dying.) At first she has to personally be there to sever the soul, but later when she gets more used to it she gets some kind of thing like a phonebook and crosses out the names from there. (She has assistants duh, because it would be insane to try and do that all alone.) Anyway just a while after she was Sariel came into being also. I researched this as well, in one definition I found Sariel is the angel of guidance. So he guides the souls of the dead to the afterlife. Therefore, since they work together so much, they become really good friends. (There will be no, I repeat, no romance between them. Somehow people always think that a boy+girl=romance. This is so untrue. Even though Sairys and Aristos/Viede and Irina/Azrael and Sariel are really close, they are not lovers.) ... I don't feel like writing the rest, it would reveal the plot too much.
